    allusive is better than elusive
     I wonder why I always decide to when [info]kid_prufrock might be writing a paper, or something, and might feel like procrastinating.

    I thought I might post something about the election, or red and blue states, but really the fact is that I'm most struck by the fact that I'm awfully schizophrenic when it comes to food. Apparently I like foie gras and braised shortribs and all things pumpkin (and Morrocan food!), but I also disdain food-snobbery and greatly prefer ground beef to filet mignon. (Though if I did like steak I would doubtless think filet mignon is sort of a wimpy cut anyway, and altogether inferior to a good porterhouse.) I don't drink — I don't know if it's for religious reasons? — but I'm a bit of a beer snob nonetheless. (Earlier today I couldn't decide whether I wanted coffee or beer, and then realized that the java stout in the fridge was the best of both worlds. I still opted for the coffee, though, which I suppose was wise.)

    In conclusion, if [info]sammka is Howard Dean, then I am Teresa Heinz Kerry. [info]carnap can still be John Edwards, despite his bad hair. Maybe Edwards and I would be having an affair. You never know.

    I want to be like [info]selectricity when I grow up, or at least in ten years.

    Why is it I mainly tend update my livejournal when [info]kid_prufrock feels like procrastinating? I don't know. It's just a coincidence, I think.

    What was I doing since my last update? Well, I took a trip to North Korea, where I hung out with [info]kim_jong_il__. Then I hacked into NASA computers, allowing me to directly communicate with both [info]opportunitygrrl and [info]spiritrover. Also, I live in fear of [info]the_bookzerker, though I know that [info]yesiamjesus loves me.

    I'm back from St. Louis. I played on a team with [info]blaketh and [info]kid_prufrock. I played very well, but I was routinely impressed with the latter's wit, intelligence, profundity, and (I'll admit it) debonair good looks (he didn't score as many points as I did, but I'm sure that was mainly due to the boneheaded NAQT packet-writers, damn them). I mean, boy, that [info]kid_prufrock is sure the cat's meow. The bee's knees, if you will.

    [info]blaketh is a really crazy driver, too. And his music is ... well, let's just say that if I hear the "Hamster Dance" techno remix one more time, I'll have to resort to the state of nature.

    Hello! Welcome to my tales of the sort of witty, self-conscious angst and completely uncalled for parody so characteristic of college undergraduate life! Listen as I talk about my status as a history major, evangelical Christian, SWIL non-member, college-bowl participant, and all-around nice-guy!
